Adding Faith to a Child’s Education
The spiritual life at St. Michael’s Academy is essential to its identity as a Catholic school. Here is where adding faith to a child’s education can truly make a difference. Our students gain strong moral values and learn respect for themselves and others as they grow in their faith.
Attendance at Mass
St. Michael’s Academy students attend Mass on a regular basis. Either in person or via zoom from our school chapel live-streamed into each classroom, this offers students the ability to learn about their faith and enrich their spiritual life.
Christmas Pageant
Students participate in a live reenactment of the days leading up to the birth of Jesus. This serves to remind our students and their families about the true meaning of Christmas.
Stations of the Cross
Praying the Stations of the Cross is a devotional during Lent. The fourteen stations recount the passion and death of Jesus, who carried the cross to his crucifixion. On each Friday of Lent, students pray the Stations of the Cross together.
Living Stations of the Cross
Each Lent, the eighth grade students perform a dramatic reenactment of the Stations of the Cross following Jesus’s last days on earth. This event is many months in the making and results in a powerful and moving production.
