Protection Of Our Youth Program
All clergy, all employees of the Diocese, parishes and schools, and all volunteers who have regular contact with children, are required to participate in and comply with all aspects of the Safe Environment Program.
The policies and practices outlined in the Diocesan website include important information about the belief that the Roman Catholic Church of the Diocese of Springfield must maintain and support a comprehensive plan to ensure that all children are protected and safe from abuse and person-to-person violence. As Bishop of our diocese, I join the efforts of many other parish and school leaders who work daily to see that all of our programs are staffed with persons who care deeply about the welfare of our children and youth.
