Mrs. Coley is the Director of Admissions at St. Michael's Academy. Prior to joining the staff in January of 2015, she was the Manager of Public Relations, Community Education and Marketing at Holyoke Medical Center in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She brings over 30 years of public relations and marketing experience to the school.
Mrs. Lund is the Director of Advancement. She has taught junior high and high school English for approximately 25 years in three different states, California, Texas, and Massachusetts. Prior to joining The St. Michael’s Academy team, she taught at Holy Cross School for several years. She is honored to be a recipient of the Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award. Three years ago, Mrs. Lund accepted the position of Director of Advancement at St. Michael’s Academy and under the guidance of Partners in Mission has truly found her happy place.
Mrs. Lund received her Bachelor of Science in English from Cal State University, Fullerton.
Mrs. Brisset is one of two Administrative Assistants at St. Michael's Academy and is located in the Main Office. In addition, Mrs. Brisset is responsible for managing all of the information technologies at the school.
Mrs. Rakouskas is one of two Administrative Assistants at St. Michael's Academy and she can be found in the Main Office.
Mrs. Bedore received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Our Lady of the Elms College with a major in Elementary Education 1-6 and a minor in History.
She grew up in Springfield and attended Catholic schools from 1st grade through college. She has been teaching in the diocese for over twenty years and currently teaches 6th grade Religion, 6th grade Ancient World and 7th grade American History - Pre-Revolutionary War thru Civil War.
Mrs. Brodeur received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Westfield State College, her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at S.T.C.C. and earned her Lead Teacher Certification (O.C.C.S.).
She currently teaches Pre-K 3 year olds
Mr. Buldrini earned his Bachelor of Science from Westfield State University where he majored in Education with a minor in Psychology.
He current teaches Grade 8 World History, Religion and American History and previously taught Grades 7 and 8 Mathematics, American History, and Religion at Holy Cross School.
Ms. Collins is a Cathedral High School Graduate and believes that Catholic education is very important and powerful. She graduated from Elmira College in Elmira, NY with a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History. She has been teaching various grades for eleven years. This is her first year at St. Michael's Academy and she is excited to be here.
Ms. Collins currently teaches 1st Grade.
Sister Constance is a Franciscan Sister of Saint Joseph. She enjoys working with and helping students. She has had many years of classroom experience teaching 5th grade Religion, Math, Science and Social Studies. She is a certified teacher in Massachusetts and currently tutors in Grades 1-5 as needed and indicated by the homeroom teachers.
Sister also lived in Brazil for 18 years and speaks Portuguese.
Mr. Dubuc graduated from Westfield State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science with a concentration in Physical Education. This is his third year teaching physical education at St. Michael's Academy. He is certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Mrs. Duplessis teaches music at St. Michael's Academy to Grades PreK - 8th grade. She holds a Master of Arts (Music Theory) from Penn State and a Bachelor of Music (Voice, Music Theory) from the University of Connecticut.
Originally from Ledyard, CT, she has lived in Massachusetts since 2007. In addition to her work at St. Michael's, she teaches voice and piano lessons at the Community Music School of Springfield and sing with a professional choir, Novi Cantori.
Miss Enderlin earned her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Westfield State University and is Lead Teacher Certified . She currently teaches PreK 4-year-olds
Mrs. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama and a Master of Education degree from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. She is also a Massachusetts Certified Teacher.
She attended Catholic schools through high school and has over 19 years teaching experience in Catholic schools for grades 1 – 5. Mrs. Dean has been teaching in the Diocese of Springfield for more than 18 years and currently teaches 2nd Grade..
Mrs. Freeman is St. Michael's Academy's school counselor. She received her Masters in School Counseling from Assumption College and her Bachelors Degree in Art Therapy from Springfield College.
She currently lives in Springfield and this is her third year at St. Michael's Academy. She is a member of St. Cecilia Parish in Wilbraham. She loves working with all the students!
"Miss K" was originally born in Hawaii and has had the opportunity to live and learn in a variety of states. Before becoming a teacher here with St. Michael's Academy, she taught in South Dakota, Minnesota, and California. She joined the teaching community at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in the fall of 2006 and was pleased to transfer over the St. Michael's Academy upon its inception in 2009.
She has earned her Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Bachelors of Arts in Special Education K-12 - Reading Disabilities, Mild Mental Retardation, Behavior Issues and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Her specialty in Middle Level are Math, Science, and Computer Technologies.
Mrs. Lamour holds a Masters in Art Education from Boston University, a Bachelors in Art Education/Painting with a Minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and an Associates Depgree in Visual Arts and Science from Holyoke Community College. She has a Professional Licensure in Visual Arts for Prek-8, and 5-12. She currently teaches Art to Grades PreK to 8th Grade.
This is Mrs. Lamour's first year teaching at St. Michael's. Previously, she taught in Holyoke Public Schools for seven years. She specializes in drawing portraits, paint landscapes and still life.
Ms. Laporte earned her Masters Degree in Education from Lesley University in Cambridge. She has also obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts/Children's Learning from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and an Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems/Data Processing from Springfield Technical Community College. She is certified in the Capstone 1 Program through the (ISTE) International Society for Technology in Education. She currently teaches computer classes to Preschool through 8th Grade.
She is an advocate of Catholic education and has been teaching in the Diocesan schools for the past 18 years.
Mrs. Logan is a 1st grade teacher at St. Michael's Academy. She received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Westfield State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, also from Westfield State University.
She attended catholic school and is a Cathedral graduate. She has been teaching for the Springfield Diocese for 18 years. Her son attends St Michael's Academy.
Mr. Malmborg received his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Westfield State College and a Masters of Education in Adult Education and Training from The University of Phoenix. He also attended the Connecticut Culinary Institute and received a Pastry Chef Certification.
He has been teaching for the last 3 years in grades 4-12, most recently at the White Oak School in Westfield. He has lived in Alaska, Washington State, and Massachusetts and has had the opportunity to work for Walt Disney World twice. The first time as a tour guide for the Animation Studios and the other as a pastry chef for one of its hotels.
He currently teaches 5th grade Religion, Language Arts and Social Studies.

Mr. Martin provides Title I services to the students of St. Michael's Academy. These include small group tutoring for reading and math. His services are provided through Catapult Learning.
Mrs. McNally is an assistant teacher in Mrs. Ruell's kindergarten classroom.
Mrs. McQuade earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from American International College and a Masters in Education from Elms College. She currently teaches 5th Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies.
Mrs. McQuade has been teaching in the Diocese of Springfield for the past 22 years.
Mrs. Morrill currently teaches 3rd Grade.
Mrs. Nicoliello received her Bachelor of Arts from Westfield State University and her Master of Arts for English Teachers from Western New England University. She currently teaches 6th grade ELA (grammar, writing, vocabulary), 6th grade Literature and 7th grade Literature
She worked in Ware Public schools for a few years, but most recently spent the past seven years teaching ELA at St. Mary's School in Ware, MA. She loves everything about books and writing and is a big fan of all things Harry Potter. One of her proudest accomplishments was winning the Pioneer Valley Teacher of Excellence Award in 2013, representing the Diocese of Springfield.
Mrs. Ruell earned her Bachelors of Education at Westfield State University and a Masters of Education, also from Westfield State University. She is a Massachusetts certified teacher with over 30 years of experience.
Mrs. Ruell currently teaches Kindergarten.
Ms. Santos is an Assistant Teacher in Mrs. Moskal's Kindergarten classroom.
Mr. Starzyk is a grade 6 and 7 religion and science teacher.
Mrs. Senecal currently teaches 5th Grade Religion and Language Arts and has been teaching in the Diocese of Springfield for 17 years in grades 2-6. She enjoys watching the students grow from September through June of each school year. In addition to teaching at SMA, she also teaches second grade CCD teacher at her parish, Mary, Mother of Hope in Springfield and serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist.
She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from American International College.
Ms. Synan received her Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with Minor in Psychology from Worcester State University, her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Holyoke Community College and a Lead Preschool Teacher Certification from the Department of Early Education and Care.
She currently teaches Pre-K, 4 year olds.
Mrs. Warbington has two sons who are alumni of St. Michael's Academy. She has been teaching for over 23 years and feels it is both a pleasure and honor to teach in the Diocese of Springfield. She is a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish and serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
She earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Holyoke Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Westfield State College and is a Massachusetts Certified Teacher. She currently teachers 2nd Grade.
"Mrs. W." earned her Masters in Education from Westfield State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts
She is certified in Massachusetts for grades 5-12 and currently teaches 6th and 7th Grade Math and 7th grade Language Arts. Prior to teaching at St. Michael's Academy, she taught in Chicopee and Ludlow. Her areas of expertise are math, English, and social studies and is currently Chair of the Math Department.
Maintenance of Buildings
Mr. Benware is the Maintenance Director at St. Michael's Academy. He served in the same capacity at St. Matthew's School in Indian Orchard until its closure, Holy Cross School and St. Michael's Academy upon it's inception in 2009.
"Mr. Nelson" is part of the Maintenance crew at St. Michael's Academy.
"Mr. James" is part of the maintenance crew at St. Michael's Academy.
Miss Susan Wuller is a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She has been a teacher in the Diocese of Springfield for many years, teaching at Sacred Heart of Jesus School and Our Lady of Hope School, both in Springfield, and Holy Name of Jesus School in Chicopee. She joined the staff of St. Michael's upon its inception in September 2009. Miss Wuller received the Grinspoon Excellence in Teaching Award in 2008.
She teaches Grade 4 religion, literature, grammar, spelling, and science.
